Having started his musical studies with the guitar, since the beginning he had a great interest in other aspects of making music, which took him to dedicate to composition, violin, viola, musicology, conduction and playing music with historical instruments (vihuela, lute, mandolin, renaissance guitar, baroque and early romantic guitar, terz guitar, and 8 and 10 string guitars). As soloist, he has played in many cities of diverse states from Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Peru, Spain, Portugal and France, offering recitals, masterclass and lectures in festivals, seminars, concert series, conservatories and universities. He has performed as soloist with orchestras and chamber music groups from Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
In his discography Dalmacio accounts with CD Cordas de Acordo, recorded by DUO BRAR (2008); the world premier and first recording on CD of Symphony of Good written for Brazilian composer Jean Goldenbaum, made in São Paulo (2010); and his first solo CD, Ricercare (2015) in which he recorded five centuries of the music history playing with seven different instruments.
Nowadays Marcos is the Artistic Director and violinist of Orquestra de Cordas da Ilha (Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil) which presents musical programs mainly devoted to the rediscovering of less known composers of musical history, since baroque period to recent times, having premiered many works in Brazil. In chamber music, Dalmacio formed the duo Cor dos Ventos with Argentinian flutist Cristian Faig; besides of traditional repertoire for the combination, they play with historical instruments for the interpretation of early music.| | | Next → |
